Helping my parents move from their home of 57 years was an exercise in determining what items to keep, what to toss, and what to pass on to others. Having a minimalist ideal, with the challenge of already having too much stuff, I went in with the mindset not to bring home too much. The absolute treasures I couldn't resist were in the form of artwork, items from my 70's childhood, and unique items from my grandparents.
