solig dag greenhouses

green pod • glass house • greenhouse

Built for durability, longevity,

low maintenance, and ease

Not your grandma's greenhouse.

The Solig Dag Greenhouse is a sturdy, robust mix between a glass house, green pod and greenhouse. The function and use is flexible and up to you. It's designed to accommodate plants, support for vegetable gardens, personal art space, chill room or a space for hosting gatherings. The self-sufficient design is rooted in a modern approach while incorporating sustainable features. The design is simple, industrial, new & fresh with roots to historic, vernacular design. This crafted space has careful restraint with the end goal of celebrating nature. Constructed from durable, pared-down materials like concrete, heavy-duty aluminum, glass, and a custom-crafted accent-painted door, this greenhouse is designed for year-round functionality. A concrete stem wall aids in heat retention during the cooler seasons, while the integrated venting, optional cooling fan and interior shade accessories can help regulate temperature in the summer. Inside, a built-in counter with a sink and storage provides functional workspace.

The prototype has been designed as an 8x12 space, however both the size and height are flexible to accommodate different requirements and preferences.

Accessories include:

  • solar panels

  • battery storage

  • gutter system with rainwater harvesting barrels

  • lighting

  • shades

  • cooling fan

  • shelving systems

  • gardening supplies
