karlshamns kallbadhus

is located on the southwest coast of Sweden, Karlshamns kallbadhus, completed in 2015, is a community staple throughout the year. Kallbadhusets Vanner (friends of the bathhouse) a group of local swimming enthusiasts, together with the municipality and private sponsors, raised the funds to realize their vision for a kallbadhus, finally replacing a previous bathhouse from years ago. This modern structure deviates from the traditional Swedish bath house, with a shape described as a flying saucer with slender legs. The angular building in a neutral palette rises from the water in a surprising and beautiful form, offering views to the archipelago in each of the public spaces.
